History in Politics

The History in Politics Society is for students who enjoy history, politics and their interaction with current affairs. We aim to open up the conversation on History in Politics, and explore the relationship between the two. Through the upcoming bi-annual journal, online blog and Annual Conference event, the society seeks to de-familiarise standard narratives and debate history in politics through a range of historical periods. The society is also proud to have launched its own podcast, 'Dead Current'! At History in Politics, we recognise the importance of social events, and plan to organise everything from themed quiz nights and academic talks to careers events and networking drinks. And maybe even a Summer Ball?
