About the service
We've changed our previous 'Nightbus' service, so that we can help even more students get home safely at night. Teaming up with local taxi firm, Phoenix Taxis (known more commonly as Pratts Taxis), the new 'Night-Cab' scheme provides a safe and secure way for students to get home. The 'Night-cab' will operate in the exact same way as our previous 'Nightbus' scheme, only we now have more than one vehicle available during the running times. There's no fixed timetable and, just like a normal taxi service, you can arrange to be picked up by calling the service on 07922 648802.
There will be screens present in the vehicles to separate the driver and passenger. Drivers will wear face coverings and passengers will also be required to wear a face covering, unless exempt, in order to access the scheme under current guidance. We will review and change these measures in line with government guidance.
