Description

Welcome to DUSFS!

We provide a platform for aspiring solicitors (law and non-law students alike) to attend talks by solicitors and other industry professionals. The talks are on the application process, ie. guidance on the pathways to achieving a TC and becoming qualified, as well as recent work the solicitor/ legal professional has completed. We host talks on a range of topics, focussing not only on the popular corporate/ commercial law Magic Circle route, but also on pathways to becoming a Family, a Criminal or Medical Law Solicitor, to name a few. Our speakers are in a wide variety of roles and at various stages of their career - from paralegals, trainees and associates working at law firms, to in-house general and legal counsel for companies.

As well as hosting talks, we send our members regular email updates with application tips, how to stand-out at different stages of the application process, upcoming deadline reminders, commercial awareness news highlights and other helpful material. Join the society to be a part of this mailing list and for invites to our social events.

The society is a great way to expand your knowledge of the UK and International law firms with like-minded students, expand your own professional vocabulary and understanding of the wide variety of solicitor roles available. We look forward to connecting with you!
