Description

One for the World’s mission is to build a movement of people revolutionizing charitable giving to end extreme poverty through education, training, and community building. Every strategic decision we make aims to expand awareness of effective giving and increase the amount that we funnel to our non-profit partners every year. We strongly encourage individuals to donate at least 1% of their income to our non-profit partners that are on the ground fighting extreme poverty through cost effective interventions.

We educate students on effective giving and effective altruism through a series of events. This year we have planned:

  • A fully supported ambassadorship program that will build the knowledge of our ambassadors and equip them with the skills to educate others on OFTW.

  • Free socials fortnightly, including movie nights and pub quizzes.

  • Throughout the year we will invite a series of speakers to talk about the importance of charity and the work done by One For The World.

  • A 4-week 1 hour-long Fellowship Programme to discuss OFTW and their work.

  • Termly pledging events where everyone who has taken the 1% pledge that term is invited for free food and drinks.
