Description

DUNE (Durham University Neuroscience Society) is a multi-disciplinary community where students meet, engage with and support each other as we explore neuroscience.

We facilitate discovering neuroscience through weekly talks with guest speakers from Durham and around the world on a large range of topics and species from cellular neurobiology in mice to computational neuroscience in drosophila to neurophilosophy. Members can also get involved by running their own discussion meetings to share their knowledge with others and get experience in giving talks.

The society aims to be research-focused by keeping up to date with current discoveries in the field and prides itself in guiding interested members towards neuroscientific opportunities beyond the society, such as national conferences and relevant research studentships. Membership is free and we are open to all students, regardless of their degree subject or year.
