Welcome to DUKS, the Durham University Korean Society.
DUKS represents all things related to Korea and Koreans.
Our goal is to bring out the best of Korean culture, media, and community; enhancing the university student experience for both Korean and non-Korean students. We also aim to serve as an entity that reminds Koreans, from all around the university, of home.
DUKS currently offers a lifetime membership and a 1 year membership subscription, both of which provide special discounts/benefits (and sometimes free entry) to all of our events.
DUKS’ events for the academic year include but are not limited to:
- K-pop club parties
- Korean food classes
- A Winter Ball
- Korean/non-Korean meeting socials
- etc.
And with DUKS membership you will have access to many more:
- Korean language classes
- Movie/drama nights
- Field trips
- Drinks tasting sessions
- sub communities
- etc.
