Durham University Iranian Society is a vibrant student organisation that celebrates Iranian culture and brings together Iranian students and friends on campus. We aim to share the richness of Persian culture with the broader campus community through promoting and celebrating events such as Nowruz and Yalda as well as collaborating with other cultural groups to put on joint events. With educational, social, and charitable efforts, the group represents the Iranian spirit of hospitality and community. We welcome members from a diverse range of backgrounds, united by their passion for engaging with Iranian culture, language, and identity. From lively conversations in Farsi to trying new Persian dishes, the group’s gatherings foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie! Everyone is welcome! :)
