DH1 Records is Durham’s student-led music record label. We have a music community regularly convening to perform, record, promote, and enjoy music together. We aim to cultivate a community that celebrates Durham’s original music scene.
Are you:
• a musician who wants to play live and have your music promoted?
• a musician who wants to have your music recorded and promoted in Durham and beyond?
• a producer looking to record, create, mix, and master your own music, or the music of other artists?
• a label exec interested in running the society (perhaps you want to work in the music industry after Durham)?
• a session musician looking for experience live and in the studio?
• a promoter or talent scout?
• a casual music fan looking for discounted, original-music concerts?
If so, DH1 is the society for you!
The best part: IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOUR ABILITY IS.
We welcome anyone interested in music, regardless of genre or standard. There will opportunities throughout the year to learn more about how we play, record, and promote music, as well as ample time to enjoy the best music Durham has to offer!
We have three distinct and dedicated teams - live music, recording, and A&R - to help you regardless of the request. Please feel free to get in touch and join at any point in the year.
