Chinese Tea Art

  • Ctas3

Description

Tea leaves were introduced to China over 5000 years ago and became a global phenomenon soon after. Tea drinking was quickly adopted as a social activity, from sleepy morning cups over breakfast, all the way to large-scale discussions amongst families and co-workers. Our society aims to provide you with the chance to experience tea culture from all over the world, helping you unwind and enjoy the company of others. By participating in our sessions you will have an opportunity to do the following:

-> Gain knowledge of the Chinese tea ceremony (工夫茶) e.g. introduction to tea utensils, techniques to make and taste tea in a traditional way, tips and tricks of the trade.

-> Get a taste of global tea cultures including Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Arab, and British brews.

-> Participate in various leisurely activities such as board games, calligraphy and snacking.

-> Meet new like-minded friends in our society.

We hope you can find inner peace through the cultural immersion of sipping tea!
