The Durham University Calisthenics Society is a group of students interested in developing their bodyweight exercise skills. We're hoping to spread the idea that you don't need to spend loads of money on equipment or membership to exercise and have fun.
Calisthenics is a method of training in which exercises are only done using your bodyweight with minimal equipment. It aims to increase body strength, flexibility and overall fitness; with many of the exercises requiring a fine balance of strength and skill.
Whether you have never even heard of calisthenics before, or if you're already a muscle up king, DUCS is the group for you if you are looking to learn some new skills, get some exercise and have a great time doing it.
