Description

Astronomical Society is dedicated to promoting the appreciation and enjoyment of astronomy, in many ways. Using the society's equipment, we run weekly observing sessions of the night sky (at Observatory Hill) and of the Sun. We also hold talks from lecturers in the Physics department and from external speakers. We are a very active society; we also run trips, hold socials, and give workshops on astrophotography and using telescopes.

To promote appreciation and enjoyment of astronomy through: night time observation sessions, solar observation sessions, trips, talks within the Physics department, talks from external speakers, socials, and other events throughout the year.
