Your Student Officers for next year have now been elected!
Voting and campaigning in this year’s elections is now over. Thank you to all who have taken part, whether through standing for a position, supporting a candidate or voting in the election.
We’re proud to announce that your 2022/2023 Student Officers are:

Thanks also to all 3,644 of you who voted – Congratulations to all candidates for their passion and commitment to their campaigns, and to their campaign teams for all their hard work. We hope you’re all incredibly proud of putting your vision for Durham forward and getting 16.63% of students to vote!
We also need to announce that the college with the highest voter turnout at 36.05% was St Chad's, who will be receiving a prize of their choosing very soon!
The elected Officers have proposed various areas they intend to dedicate attention to improving. You can learn more about their ideas by clicking on their names above.
The elected Student Officers will start their roles at the end of July, and will represent the voice of Durham students and lead the direction of the Union for that academic year.
Until then, Durham SU will continue to be led by the current team of officers until their term ends at the end of July, delivering on their priorities and mandates. We will deliver the Culture Commission, continue our work around the UCU strikes, lobby against the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Bill, finish this phase of the Democracy Review and respond to whatever the government and institution throws at us.
