Description

The Durham University Physics Society is a society created by and for physics students and we want to make sure that you get the most that you possibly can out of your time at Durham.

Throughout the year we will be holding socials for everyone to get to know each other in a relaxed and safe environment. These are wonderful opportunities to interact with budding physicists from other colleges and even other years! Socials also provide much needed relaxation and down time for all of the hard work that a physics degree involves.

We will also be holding talks from physicists from both within the department and elsewhere to introduce you to physics in the real world and how it is changing everyday.

This society is also very keen to provide support and we will be hosting revision sessions, particularly throughout exam season, to give you the means and space to revise and discuss ideas with other physicists.

Last but not least, when travelling becomes safe again we'll host a trip to CERN!
