Ey up lads and ladettes!
Welcome to North soc!
We are a community of like-minded people who come together to promote Northern values and traditions such as:
- Cheap beer
- Pasties
- Putting gravy on everything
- Not pronouncing the word “the”
- Never wearing a jacket
- Insisting the Midlands is in the South
- Grimacing at the mention of London
We hold socials throughout the year which are free to attend and give you the opportunity to meet other Northerners so you don’t get lost in the oddly Southern bubble that is Durham (like seriously, why is everyone from Surrey?)
Drinking events are typically fancy-dress bar crawls, non-drinking events have been day trips round the Greggs and Cooplands in Durham. We are looking at holding balls too in the future. Membership is still free.
