Meditation Society

  • Durham meditation society

Description

Meditation is so much more than just a stress-reliever. The benefits and impacts are numerous, and with time it can greatly aid the following:

  • Concentration & mental-resilience
  • Deepening compassion
  • General well-being
  • Personal development
  • Overall fulfilment in life

Whether or not you have meditated before, and whatever your reason for joining, this society is for you! It's a great opportunity to meet new people, and everyone is welcome. We hold weekly meditation sessions every Wednesday (during term time) at 2-3pm in St Antonty’s Priory (74 Claypath, DH1 1QT). You are welcome to join your first three sessions for free, but after that please pay to become a member. The fees help us to maintain the society, rent out our wonderful space, and afford fun social events!
