Description

Durham Indonesian Student Community (DISC), has been formed since 2012. It is a society for all Indonesian students in Durham University. Started in 2012, the members of the society is still small however year by year Indonesian Students in Durham University are increasing. The members would benefit with all activities that will be held throughout the year. However, it will not only gives benefits to the society members but also to other Durham Student’s societies, in which some of our events are open to public to welcome them who are interested in Indonesia’s culture such as Khatulistiwa and Independence day.

The objectives of this organisation shall be:

  • To provide a platform for Indonesian students or the members to support and facilitate their talents and creativities
  • To provide fellowship among Indonesian students in Durham University
  • To increase awareness and promote Indonesia in Durham University and the UK
  • To build and maintain relationship with other organizations includes Durham students societies and other Indonesian societies in the UK
  • To create awareness of Durham University in Indonesia
