From Oasis to Catfish and the Bottlemen, Clairo to The Smiths — whether you’re one of the Common People or one of the Rich Girls, there’s a place for you in Durham’s indie society. Whether you just like to listen and come along to socials, or you’re looking to start a band and perform live, Indie Soc has something for everyone!
We’ve got: Indie-themed bar crawls (especially on Indie Thursdays), live gigs from Durham’s best indie talent (and if that’s you — get on stage!) Listening nights & playlists to share your favourite tunes, Trips to gigs and festivals, Indie music quizzes & pub socials, Band forming & jam sessions for the musically inclined.
So, whether your playlist screams “Mr Brightside” or “Motion Sickness”, come along, meet fellow music lovers, and be part of Durham’s growing indie community.
