Description

The Durham University Education Society is a student run society created for individuals interested in or studying Education. The purpose of the society is to provide a forum for our members to discuss ideas, destress and to meet one another. Furthermore, we also host academic events, socials and academic mentoring throughout the academic year.

Our aims:

  • To expand the societies scope in an attempt to entice the student body, encouraging them to join the society, regardless of subject.
  • To raise awareness of educational issues so that the wider student population can engage in these ideas, creating a safe and comfortable space for students to discuss educational issues and to socialize.
  • To design and put into action a mentor-mentee scheme whereby students in older years tutor and provide support for newer members at their own discretion.
