Description

Who we are:
We are Durham University students and early-career thinkers passionate about how behavioural science can shape better decision-making in everyday life, policy, organisations, and social systems. We explore how small changes in context, messaging, incentives and design influence behaviour.

What we do:

  • Host academic talks and speaker events, often in collaboration with other societies, universities, academic professors, and businesses to bring experts in behavioural science to Durham.

  • Run seminars, discussions, and workshops to engage students across disciplines in behaviour change, nudging, experimental methods, and applied behavioural work.

  • Have fun socials with like-minded people

  • Publish accessible content to share behavioural insights, case studies, and current research with our community

  • Offer a space for networking, learning, mentorship, and collaboration among students interested in behavioural science

Our membership allows you entry into all our events for the year.*

Our Instagram shares practical insights, research highlights, and event updates helping to make behavioural science accessible and engaging for everyone. This is the best place to keep updated on all things BIS.

We welcome students studying any subjects. If you study subjetcs like, behavioural sciences, psychology, economics, maketing, business, management, politics, this group is a must join.

*we might occasionally have an event that requires an entry fees or you to incur additional expeses to attend.
