Durham's Association of British and Chinese University Students (ABACUS) aims to celebrate and champion Chinese and wider East Asian culture. Being a part of a larger national ABACUS network, our fundamental aim is to create a network for the widening British/Western-born Asian community within Durham. However, we hold inclusivity as key; thus, we aim to unite all, regardless of background, with an interest in Chinese culture. We will be holding social events throughout the year, including club nights, sport socials, game nights and dinners, as we expand this new society.
