The Durham University Art & Life Drawing Society aims to offer both members and non-members alike the space, resources and opportunities to appreciate and take part in visual arts. We have four main branches:
1) Weekly Tuesday life drawing sessions
2) Weekly Thursday themed art classes/sessions
3) Free art room space to be used any time including free basic materials for members
4) Workshops and events in local area
We welcome students of all abilities, and you do not need to be a member to come along and enjoy our sessions! Benefits of buying membership include use of the Art Room in the DSU, and discounted Life Drawing and free Thursday sessions.
In addition to our regular sessions, we run workshops and taught sessions with local artists throughout term, trips to local galleries, urban sketching, as well as providing opportunities to get involved with collaborative creative events and exhibitions.
