Description

The Durham University Archaeology Society is an academic student group for all lovers of archaeology at the university, whether you study an archaeological degree or not!

Offering a wide range of events, both academic and social, we provide a space for anyone interested in the material past to meet like-minded individuals, explore the history of Durham and its surroundings, and gain valuable experience for life after graduation.

The society publishes its own online journal, Spolia, to spotlight student and staff research with regular opportunities to get involved from submitting articles to volunteering as an editor.

We also recently launched the Hemley Project, a uniquely student- and early careers-led research venture to investigate the historic landscape of High House Farm in Suffolk.

Join the Facebook group and follow us on instagram to keep updated on our events. We hope to see you soon!
