Tell students about yourself
Hi my name is Anushay and I’m studying Education with Psychology. I am in my first year right now and am from Pakistan. A few things about me are that I love reading and being there for my fellow students. I’m not an overly extraverted nor an overly introverted type of person. I’m not really in any societies as I’m using my spare time working on internships to have a better chance in the career world after graduation. I’m a big fan of manhwas, books, horror movies and sitcom tv shows.
If elected, what sort of Officer can students expect you be?
I will be an officer who is hard working and there for my peers. I’ll be a person who won’t just lend a helping hand in my peer’s education but in any other factors they need me too. I have really good critical thinking and problem solving skills that have already helped me a lot in my internships and will hopefully do the same if I’m accepted for this role.
Why is this role important to you?
This role is very important to me for a few reasons. Firstly, In high school I wasn’t as academically gifted like others and I wished back then I had someone in a leading role to look up to and being a student officer would give others someone to look up to.
What is your pitch to students?
I promise to be as helpful as I can to my fellow students, I want to be a good role model to women of colour who think they can’t do what their heart sets out to do. You should vote for me if you want someone who is there for you not as a peer but as a friend.
