General Editors
Overall society administrators and President and Vice-President of The Bubble. A fantastic opportunity to learn skills in management, communication, hiring and firing and leadership, requiring round the clock attentiveness to The Bubble.
Requirements: some previous experience with The Bubble
Number: maximum of two at any one time
SMT (Senior Management Team)
Day to day managers and directors of The Bubble team, who answer to editorial/writing/commissioning queries. An excellent opportunity in management and leadership of a close team.
Requirements: some previous experience with The Bubble
Number: one for each overarching section (Culture & Arts, Current Affairs, Lifestyle)
Webmasters
Responsible for the upkeeping of The Bubble website, including its graphic design, functionality and web hosting. Great experience in day to day maintenance of a commercial site.
Requirements: HTML proficiency
Number: Between one and three
Editors:
Positions responsible for creating content, whether by writing it single-handedly or commissioning or sourcing content from the student community. Editorial sections include:
Culture & Arts: Art & Photography, Creative, Drama, Film, History, Literature, Music, Philosophy & Religion, Satire, Television
Current Affairs: Business & Economics, Causes, Environment, Science & Technology, Sport, Student Life, UK Politics, World Affairs
Lifestyle: Fashion & Beauty, Food, Gaming, Sex & Love, Travel
Requirements: no prior experience needed
Number: typically between one and three editors per section
Contributors
Anyone can contribute to The Bubble, no experience needed. Simply contact the relevant editor via our contact us page.
Photographers
A great opportunity to refine your skills as a photographer by joking our Photography Board. Responsibilities include take photos according to editor's requests and contributing original content to our photography database. Credit will always be given for provided photos.
Requirements: some experience or flair as a photographer

Our Objectives
Our objectives are to provide all Durham University students with a platform to display their journalistic, creative writing or media skills. We want to offer all Durham students the opportunity to hone their writing or media skills to help them achieve the internship they want post-university. Previous editors with us have gone on to land internships and work experience at the BBC, The Guardian, Sky News and Penguin Random House. Let your journey start with us!

We also operate a developing Youtube channel, which includes broadcasts of our events and original content exclusive to us. Examples include our Student Question Time Event, the first of its kind at Durham University.
