Three things to do before you come to Durham

You’ll probably have had endless lists of things you need to sort before you get to Durham, but don’t worry too much, you can usually sort a lot of things once you get here.
If you want to get on top of things, though, here are three things we recommend ticking off your list:
1. Activate your Durham SU account
Activating your account enables you to join student groups at the Freshers’ Fair, purchase tickets for events, and access the full benefits of your Students’ Union.

2. Register to vote
When you change addresses, you need to re-register to vote. You might want to stay registered at your home address and vote there, but if you want to be able to vote in Durham, you’ll need to re-register.
