Your SU President, Kate McIntosh, provides support and guidance surrounding the ongoing outbreak of Covid-19.

As your Students’ Union we want to make sure you have the resources and support you need in order to feel safe and informed, whatever might be happening in Durham or around the world. We understand that this might be causing some students worry, and have gathered together official guidance surrounding the virus, as well as suggestions of places you can go to seek support.

Official advice and guidance

The University has now issued further detailed guidance which can be found here.  We would also urge you to keep an eye on your University email account, as there will be more information to come from both the University and your department.

Public Health England (PHE) are continually updating the guidance on their website, which should be helpful for anyone wanting to find out more. Visit their website here.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) has advice on their website about travel to affected countries. Read more here.

Support in Durham
If you are feeling worried about this news, we would suggest that you speak to your College Support Office staff.

If you feel your mental health is being negatively impacted, you can self-refer to the University Counselling Service.
