Your colleges will be hosting trials for Durham’s University Challenge Tournament, an event that pitches Durham students against each other to find the ultimate quiz champions. Contestants for the BBC’s University Challenge will also be selected from those taking part in the Durham tournament. To find out when your college’s trial is taking place, contact your SU Rep.

We’ll also be hosting trials for the Wild Card team (for any students who can’t make their college trial) in the SU on 23, 24 and 25 October at 16:00-17:00 in Meeting Room 2. You only need to come along to one trial.

To get you in the mood for quizzes, we thought we’d share one of our own. Each question is a clue to one of the sixteen colleges or Dunelm House.

We’ll be posting the answers soon, so keep your guesses to hand if you want to see how well you’ve scored.

On its safe arrival at the college, stripes were painted onto this lion turning it into the mightier tiger. And thus, this college’s mascot was born.
