Nightline Training

Nightline will be holding a training weekend on the 28th and 29th of January.

You don't need to want to volunteer for Nightline to attend one of our weekends; although the weekend is compulsory for potential volunteers. The skills you will learn on the weekend will be valuable to you in all areas of your personal and professional life. The training weekend is open to all Durham University students, postgraduates, undergraduates and beyond, studying at both university campuses.

The weekend will consist of a mixture of small group sessions, in which you will receive high-quality training in useful active listening and communication skills from our current volunteers, as well as highly-reviewed talks from professional guest speakers covering issues surrounding student welfare and mental health.

Anyone interested in signing-up for the training weekend will need to fill out a form by midnight on Saturday 21st, which can be found here - https://goo.gl/forms/PgURpyLwBbG2Zp8J2. We will contact students by email to let them know if they have a place on the weekend by Sunday 22nd.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us by sending an email to nightline@durham.ac.uk.
