Meet your student officers!
On this page you will find a list of your full time SU Officers, your part-time Officers, and your Faculty Presidents.
I am your president so please drop in and introduce yourself! You can find me in the top floor of the SU, or via my email! I am really keen to support the work of students- whether it’s campaigns, societies or welfare, please get me in the loop!
As an officer, I would be a champion of inclusive change, engaging students in decision- making through regular communication outlets, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone's voices can be heard. My approach would focus on empowering students to vocalise their expectations of their university experiences. Through my work in welfare, team leader experience and degree, I have both leadership and communication skills with a theoretical understanding on how to bridge gaps between students and administration to create a resonant campus community. My experience in student welfare and understanding of successful policy would make me an effective and responsive Education Officer.
Community Officer is not a role that one person can do on their own, and I will act as a line of communication between various parties to mediate conversations between the student body, the SU, and the university. I want to acknowledge the intimidating barrier between students and the university, ensuring that this institution is a comfortable place for everyone in its diverse student body. I will encourage and prioritise requests from students regarding ways to keep the university accountable, and will do this by being a transparent and active officer even if it means having uncomfortable conversations.
