Spaceflight (DUSF)

We are society that unites students with a love of space! Some of the stuff we do: Design, build and launch high-altitude observation balloons to observe the atmosphere. Some of our balloons are capable of remaining airborne for months and can travel thousands of kilometres! Advertise and organise the opportunity for students to travel to the National Student Space Conference, a yearly gathering of space enthusiasts and companies in the space industry to showcase some of the exciting and cutting-edge developments in the space sector. This is an excellent opportunity to meet businesses that are interested in hiring space enthusiasts and gain crucial insight into the ever-expanding space industry! Organise outreach projects at local schools to encourage an interest in space in younger generations. One way we are doing this is by bringing the UK Space Design Challenge competition to schools in the north-east of England for the first time! We will also be organising more events, like coding workshops and some model rocketry! We are always welcome to new project ideas from members so if you wish to add something new join and let us know!
