About Us
Durham University Bridge Club provides a place for students to play and enjoy bridge. Whether you're a beginner, expert or haven't a clue what the game even is, come along! In particular, we offer teaching aimed at both beginners and improving players.
The club meets regularly on Monday evenings at 6.30 in the Swan and 3 Cygnets for a lighthearted evening of bridge. We also meet on a Thursday 6.30 in a classroom in the SU. Check out our Instagram @dubridgeclub for more info. We are also liaising with other university bridge clubs around the country to create more opportunities for diverse and competitive play. We are excited to play in the Portland Bowl this year and hope to enter two teams.
The aims of the society are as follows:
i. To play bridge
ii. To teach bridge to members who want to learn and help members improve
iii. To take part in competitions, especially the Portland Bowl (the national universities competition).
