About Us

The Durham University Economics Society (DUES) aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and connections needed for future careers, while fostering a welcoming community for discussion, debate, and exploration of the economic trends shaping today's world.

Founded over 15 years ago, we run a full calendar of skills workshops, competitions, publications, and employer-led events, including CV clinics, speaker series, networking events, the weekly Durham Economics Digest, and the Durham Economic Journal.

With a community of 2,500+ students past and present, whether you’re interested in banking, consulting, public policy, economic research, or simply meeting ambitious and like-minded students, DUES has something for you. Everyone is welcome, and we’d love to have you involved.
