UG Academic roles

The Undergraduate Academic Officer represents undergraduate students' academic interests, support for student representatives and encourages undergraduate students to participate in academic evaluation. At the time of the election, candidates for this role must be studying as undergraduate students, or if in a sabbatical role, have been undergraduate students when elected to that role.

  • Leading Durham SU’s policy and campaigns on undergraduate academic matters​
  • Liaising with departments and faculties to improve undergraduate academic experience
  • Supporting student representatives to effectively improve undergraduate academic experience​
  • Undergraduate academic support, learning resources and study facilities
  • Undergraduate academic quality evaluation projects
  • Holding termly meetings with members regarding academic interest
