Welcome to Durham Society for Economic Pluralism (DSEP)!
There is a big and growing international movement of economic scholars and students who want to improve the way Economics is taught, by including a plurality of theories, taking a real world approach and emphasising critical thinking. DSEP is bringing this idea to Durham University.
We organise lectures, talks and workshops on relevant economic issues, approached from a wide range of perspectives, which all members have the opportunity to attend. Members can also apply to take part in two of our other projects: investigating the Economics curriculum at Durham University, as well as arranging open lectures for the public and at secondary schools with the aim of making Economics more accessible.
Whether you are an economist or not, or what previous experience you have with Economic Pluralism, we welcome you to take part in our vibrant society.
