The Great Glen Challenge - Canoe Across Scotland!

Fancy going on a hunt for the Loch Ness Monster?! In June 2018, you could be one of 14 students canoeing their way from Fort William down to Loch Ness in just five days! Your participation in this 95 km endurance test will raise much needed funds to help continue the fantastic services of the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team as well as being a huge personal challenge as you make it across the magnificent Scottish scenery. With wild camping and breath taking sights, this is one adventure you don’t want to miss out on.

Ticket price includes all transport, equipment, food, guides and first aid.

This is a fundraising event in aid of the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team (TWSMRT). This is a team of volunteers who operate across the whole of County Durham, responding to all kinds of incidents and accidents in the most remote and dangerous areas. They need DUCK funds to maintain their state of the art equipment, and replace old apparatus that is vital to the success of a rescue operation.
