The Applied Psychology Society is a group that encourages social and academic interaction and development of its members. It offers socials, career talks and special guest lectures in psychology topics to develop and provide opportunities and engage students on many levels for personal development as well as career planning.
If you're interested in psychology, want to learn more about its applications in the real world, or want to pursue a career in the the area, then this society is for you! We offer a variety of fascinating talks including the 'Day in the Life Of...' series offering you the chance to understand firsthand what it's like to be a psychologist in a particular area. We also put on special guest lectures on topics that are not covered by modules that the university offers, so everyone's interests are covered!
Want to meet people with similar interests to you? We also have socials throughout the year ranging from psychology themed film nights to bar crawls and nights out!
