How to run to be a Trustee

  2. Apply online through our online form. Nominations open 15 March 2024 and close on 28 April at midnight (Please note: before your application is accepted, you will be subject to an eligibility check. This is to ensure no other reason exists that would prevent you from serving as a Trustee and to declare any conflict of interest).
  3. Attend our Trustee briefing session. This briefing session is an important part of the process and all trustees must attend.
  4. Voting and results announced! Students will be able to vote from 1-5 May 2024. Election results will be published to all students on the Durham SU website on 7 May.
