Role Information

The first round of elections will be the Winter Elections, which will be taking place in February 2025. The roles elected will be:

  • SU President (full time)
  • Community Officer (full-time)
  • Education Officer (full-time)
  • Faculty President Art and Humanities (part-time)
  • Faculty President Business (part-time)
  • Faculty President Science (part-time)
  • Faculty President Social Sciences and Health (part-time)
  • Societies Officer (part-time)
  • Liberation Officer (part-time)
  • International Officer (part-time)

The second round of elections will be event-based and take place around April-May 2025 (dates TBC). The roles elected will be:

  • PGR Officer (part-time)
  • Sustainability Officer (part-time)
  • Welfare Officer (part-time)

Please note that there are also two nominated positions: JCR PresComm Chair (part-time) and MCR PresComm Chair (part-time).

Full-Time Officer salary: £23,623 minimum (currently under review)

Part-Time Officer wage: £12.60 per hour (this is in line with the Living Wage Foundation).

13 January Nominations open.

22 January Intro to being an Officer.

9 February Nominations close​.

12 & 19 February Candidate elections training.​

17 February Candidates announced​.

24-27 February Voting is open​.

28 February Results announced.

Spring Elections

Likely to be throughout April and May but is subject to change.
