I am a motivated and hardworking MSc Behavioural Science student with knowledge of Higher Education systems and structures. My aim is to bring my dedication and my creative approach to the Board. I am excited to represent students in discussing the best methods of delivering Durham SU’s purpose.

  • Member of the Behavioural Science Clinic and the Behavioural Insights Society – working with clients to deliver the best behavioural interventions and improve diversity, wellbeing and productivity

2017-2020 BSc (Hons) Psychology at Northumbria University

  • My empirical research project was grounded in evolutionary psychology, and explored facial self-similarity and its effects on relationship choices which demanded strategic and creative thinking

  • I have demonstrated reliability and dedication to my course and met the time commitment to prepare and contribute to all activities while working part-time and volunteering as an Assistant Psychologist

WORK EXPERIENCE

January 2019 (ongoing) Learning Disability Support Worker at Keyfort Group, Newcastle upon Tyne

  • Demonstrated my leadership skills through working as Core Staff in a team-based vocational position

  • Showing my own initiative through on-shift training of new staff

  • Working with, and assisting, individuals with a range of learning disabilities and brain injuries with confidentiality

  • Developed healthy, caring, and supportive relationships with clients and the team

October 2019 – June 2020 Student Assistant Psychologist (Placement) at University Hospital of Hartlepool, Hartlepool

  • Conducted a service evaluation on outcome measures used across the lifespan; my recommendations were implemented and led to service development and improvement
