Kathryn Ellison
Trustee candidate

Hello! I’m Kathryn, a second-year theologian at Grey and I would love to be your SU trustee. I’m a super hardworking and motivated person, a big advocate for accessibility and transparency and a believer that SUs are their best when students are at the heart of everything they do.

  • Was pivotal in ensuring that trustees for Easter 2021 are elected and not appointed
  • Pushed for broader inclusion of working-class students in JCR activities
  • Successfully proposed a motion which put the full weight of assembly behind supporting an end to advertisements which contradict the SU’s campaigning efforts

  • Developed strong organisational and IT skills
  • Learnt how to create and preserve online student communities during the pandemic
